Project Defiance - Outfit #7 DANGER ZONE

Now that we have a reprieve from the environmental punishment of "hotter than a camel's nutsack", I can finally wear the flight suit that has been part of Project Defiance since its inception. This is the level of comfort that I have only dreamed of. And all of those pockets! Perfectly sized for both of my phones (yes, I am THAT person who carries both a Blackberry and an iPhone) and airline sized bottles of Grand Marnier. Yesterday Rufus (my fried chicken consort) asked after viewing a picture of me on Facebook from 1993, "if you could go back and talk to that girl, what would you say to her?" My answer? "Rock On".

Pondering over the accessories....

Tan In A Can

I know. You've seen all of this before. I'm just trying to get as much wear as possible out of these awesome Zara shorts before the end of the summer. But, did you happen to notice how lusciously brown I am?! I've always wanted to be the shade of a Dunkin' Donuts frozen coffee beverage and I'm getting there. Not so much a tan in a can, but a tan in a jar...

I'm prepping for my "retirement gala" this Saturday by laying down some coats of brown. I don't have my shoes on yet because they're gladiators and I don't want to mess up my new color until I'm all dry. I had no idea what "unsaponifiables" meant and after looking it up on Wiki, I still don't really know. But this Clarins Delicious Self-Tanning Cream has unsaponifiables of cocoa and I am all sorts of brown and shimmery!

An item I'm wearing that I absolutely adore is this antique pendant my mother left me that she received as a gift from Peru back in the 70's. It has markings on it that I don't understand, but it's an interesting piece that always gets attention.  I love the cameo and the craftsmanship is incredible. Maybe one day I'll find out what it means...I hope it doesn't say something nuts...

Yes, that says something about Napoleon...(?)
