It Was All Good At Brunch...

...but then I put the same outfit on for photos before dinner when the lighting was better and I looked a hot ratchet mess. Not sure what transpired through the day and the photographer was flawless, but somehow I just wasn't on my game. Instead of wasting what I considered to be one of my better brunch looks (no leggings!), I made a look page. Just imagine it on me, looking fierce (hungry) and just subtract about 5 pounds of thigh an that should be perfect!

Since I don't have the many fabulous model pictures for various angles of this look against the backdrop of suburban paradise, I'll walk you through the look. My favorite piece is the Druzy Bib Necklace from C. Wonder (yes, YES, I have always been Tory Burch loyal, but this spoke to me and when something mined from the ground speaks to you, you cannot ignore it. I'm quite certain that Tory will recover). My James Perse V-Neck Tee from the fall color collection has been a staple in my weekend wear, but you can find the SS13 colors here . I will continue to incorporate my favorite Rag & Bone Classic Newbury Booties from fall jeans to spring and summer skirts and shorts. The Striped Downtown Skirt from Madewell has some sort of possibly illegal slimming and/or shaping technology in it because I am definitely a different person in it, than I am out of it. I don't know what it does, but I let it do what it do. Of course with the cool spring weather (where the HELL is real spring? We need some Zero Dark Thirty all over this mess), I have my trademark J. Crew Nolita Jacket , with buttons 3-4 closed for warmth but enough open to expose the Tha Druzyyyy!

I couldn't make my mind up on a clutch (I do love the weekends because it's clutch time!), so I went for a weekday hobo that was a gift for delivering my son alone in the hospital, Mad Men style (the same gremlin in the previous post with the wicked tummy troubles) . The Mulberry Hetty Hobo is from last season and nearly impossible to find, but Mulberry does have the Effie Hobo which is similar and the Alexander McQueen De-Manta Tote does have some similarities with the folded over edges. And the usual Michael Kors Large Runway Watch because it works with so much.

Best hopes in the upcoming week for looking less ratchet and warmer weather! OK, one outtake for shits and giggles....
