Before I stopped working, I told myself that if I stayed on a reasonable budget, this whole "not working" thing could actually...work. Fail. After about four weeks of unemployment, Saks actually emailed me with something in the title like "we haven't seen you in a while". Actually that's exactly what it said. And I thought "gee, Saks...I kind of miss you too", but I was too ashamed to say it. So I started kind of stalking Saks. Not going in, but just doing a drive by. Ya know, checking in to see if its light was on or if a strange car was parked out front. Then my husband requested that I re-up his shaving supplies which happen to come from a store that is right near Saks. Boom. I would be in the neighborhood after all and it wouldn't be such a big deal to drop in. Right? After I bought the shaving supplies, I went to The Cheesecake Factory and after some sliders and a couple of goblets of pinot grigio, I rolled up on Saks.
I can always use an extra bottle of Chanel No˚5 even though I only wear it after 7pm and on days when the temperature exceeds 90 degrees. The only reason I buy Chanel nail polish (and Dior for that matter) is because the square shape allows me to fit more bottles on my shelf. I do enjoy this color though. On me it's reminiscent of the Particuliere from a few seasons ago but more of a purple-grey instead of a brown-grey.
Obviously this budget idea is getting off to a rough start. I'm feeling all sorts of Aloe Blacc right about now...
